The Stanley Cup Finals. Sizzle or Fizzle?I have thoroughly enjoyed the finals so far. Games 1 and 2 were nice wins but if you aren't a Red Wings fan how good were they. Game 3 was the most exciting match I have seen in quite some time. A lot of back and forth action and edge of your seat type hockey with the Penguins prevailing. I would have liked a different outcome but it did not let down until the last second ticked on the clock. Game 4 was intense as well. Again I was on the edge of my seat especially when Henrick Zetterberg and company were faced with the 5-3 penalty kill. That could have had a totally different outcome and changed the face of the whole series and yet maybe it still did? I'm anxiously awaiting game 5 tonight. So if it ends in 5? Does Gary Bettman or the NHL look at this finals as a fluke? What if it were to end in 6? Or 7? Just tell me what you think. This is my first blog so bear with me here. LOL |

The Stanley Cup Finals. Sizzle or Fizzle?I hear ya Bwinder! Still as long as the Red Wings hoist the cup I'll take a fizzle. Of course there is still hockey to be played and Pittsburgh is in survival mode now. Game 5 could be sizzle? Thanks for posting my man! I'm going to try and hit the sack. I always have insomnia during the hockey playoffs. I eat, sleep, and drink this stuff. I'll check back later hockey fans. |

The Stanley Cup Finals. Sizzle or Fizzle? This series had the potential to capture more than the casual hockey fans interest, but Pittsburgh failed to produce their share of the effort. The last two games have showed the potential that this series had, however the first two shutouts convinced everyone that the Stanley Cub was going to be spending its summer in Detroit.

The Stanley Cup Finals. Sizzle or Fizzle?I agree with you Tubby. The first 2 games killed a lot of possibilities to draw new fans. I still think the die hards and some casuals can still see the importance of each game and that it still isn't over. I'm afraid to say that although games 3 and 4 were as exciting as it gets this series is still fizzle in the eyes of most. To me anytime you have Red Wing hockey it's sizzle in my book but that is just me. LOL. |
